- “Prescription Drug Take Back Day”
National “Prescription Drug Take Back Day” is Saturday, October 29. Unwanted or expired prescription medications will be taken for proper disposal. Controlled substances and liquids cannot be accepted. Locations include Sioux Center’s HyVee Pharmacy & Lewis Pharmacy and Orange City’s Police Department & Dutch Mill Pharmacy. Hours vary by location.
- "The Glass Menagerie" -- 7:30 PM
Dordt College Theatre Arts presents “The Glass Menagerie.” Performances will be held in the TePaske Theatre at 7:30 PM on October 20, 22, 27, 28, and 29, with an additional performance at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 22. Tickets can be purchased at DordtTickets.com.
- Organ master class -- 9:00 AM
The Dordt College Music Department will sponsor an organ master class and workshop on Saturday morning from 9-11, October 29 in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. Dr. Wolfgang Reisinger, director of music for the Archdiocese of Vienna, will lead the event. Area organist as well as students are invited; the event is free and open to the public.
- “Food for the Hungry” Garage Sale -- 9:30 AM
The Orange City Living Water Community Church will host a benefit garage sale from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM on Saturday, October 29. All money raised will benefit the organization “Food for the Hungry”.
