- Crop Advantage Series Meeting -- 10:00 AM
Iowa State University Extension will hold a Crop Advantage Series meeting from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM at Northwest Iowa Community College on Tuesday, January 4. Topics include “Soybean Sudden Death Syndrome” and “Grain Market Outlook for 2011”. Workshop sessions will also be offered. - National Alliance on Mental Illness Support Group -- 7:00 PM
The National Alliance on Mental Illness Support Group will meet at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, in the Fireside Room of the Sioux Center Central Reformed Church. - Commercial Manure Applicator Training Program -- 9:00 AM
A “Commercial Manure Applicator Training Program” is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, from 9:00 AM – Noon at the Sioux County Extension Office. There is no fee to attend the workshop, but commercial applicators must register by December 29 by contacting the ISU Extension Sioux County office at 737-4230.
- ATLAS Time of Prayer -- 7:00 PM
The ATLAS time of prayer for the community will be held from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on Thursday, January 6, at the Sioux Center 1st Reformed Church Chapel. Prayer focus will be Unity. Please come and go as your schedule allows.
- Sioux Center High School Taco Feed -- 5:00 PM
An All-You-Can-Eat Taco Feed will be held in the Sioux Center High School commons from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Friday, January 7. Free-will donations taken to benefit the Sioux Center High School athletic and music booster organizations.
- “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” Course -- 6:00 PM
“Perspectives on the World Christian Movement”, a 15-week missions course, will begin on Monday, January 10. The course will be taught at the Orange City Living Water Community Church each Monday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Everyone is welcome. Registration can be made on-line at www.perspectives.org, or the first class can be attended for free to learn more about the course.
